The production of autoantibodies against the enzyme transglutaminase 2 (TG2) in celiac disease likely results from TG2-specific B cells receiving help from gluten-specific CD4+ T cells in gut-associated lymphoid tissues (GALT) via the formation of transient enzyme-substrate complexes formed between TG2 and gluten. Where in the body enzymatically active TG2 encounters gluten peptides remains unknown.
211. The influence of subjective well-being on anxiety, depression and quality of life in patients with functional dyspepsia.
Subjective well-being (SWB) encompasses both subjective happiness and objective factors. Anxiety and depression are increasingly recognized as contributing causes of functional dyspepsia (FD), yet the role of SWB in FD patients has been largely overlooked. This study aims to investigate the influence of SWB on anxiety, depression, symptom severity, and quality of life (QoL) in individuals with FD.

The hepatic steatosis index (HSI) is a validated tool for assessing hepatic steatosis. While previous investigations have explored the link between HSI and prediabetes and diabetes, the connection between HSI and glycemic progression is still being explored. This research seeks to clarify the association between HSI and glycemic progression risk among a Chinese demographic.

This study aims to investigate the predictive significance of inflammatory markers for postoperative lung metastasis in colorectal cancer (CRC) patients. The focus is on exploring the relationship between traditional inflammatory markers, such as neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR), and newly introduced indices like C-reactive protein (CRP)-albumin-lymphocyte (CALLY), and their association with CRC progression and lung metastasis.

Metabolism plays an important role in the occurrence and development of gastric cancer, including in neoadjuvant immunochemotherapy. However, whether nutrition-related indicators can predict the efficacy of neoadjuvant immunochemotherapy and the prognosis of gastric cancer patients has not been addressed. This study systematically screens various nutritional indicators to explore their efficacy in predicting responses to neoadjuvant immunochemotherapy and patients' prognosis in locally advanced gastric cancer (LAGC).

Colorectal cancer (CRC) prevention relies on early diagnosis and endoscopic resection of adenomatous polyps. This in turn depends on the quality of the performed colonoscopy. "Polyp detection rate, PDR" and "adenoma detection rate, ADR" are considered indices for quality of colonoscopy. This study aims to evaluate PDR and ADR, alongside the demographic, clinical, and pathological characteristics of colorectal polyps in an Iranian population. We also aimed to find the prevalence of colon polyps among different age groups.
