7301. Neglected bodily senses in women living with vertebral fracture: a focus group study.

Older women are at particular risk of osteoporosis. Among women with osteoporosis, fractures of the vertebra (vertebral fracture) are common, hard to detect and associated with risk of further fracture. Identifying vertebral fracture in a timely manner allows instigation of preventive measures to reduce the risk of further fracture. Although detection of vertebral fracture requires spinal radiograph, many women do not receive referral. To begin development of a screening tool to identify women in need of referral we undertook a qualitative study to characterize women's experiences of vertebral fracture, using Eccleston's 'Ten Neglected Bodily Senses'.

Before a clinician decides whether treatment with TNF inhibition in children with JIA has failed, one should ensure adequate systemic exposure has been achieved. Therapeutic drug monitoring might allow for improved treatment outcome with lower treatment-associated costs. However, this requires understanding of the pharmacokinetic (PK) characteristics, and the pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) relationship for children with JIA. We performed a scoping review to summarize the available literature and identify areas for future research.
7304. Adding value to real-world data: the role of biomarkers.
Adding biomarker information to real world datasets (e.g. biomarker data collected into disease/drug registries) can enhance mechanistic understanding of intra-patient differences in disease trajectories and differences in important clinical outcomes. Biomarkers can detect pathologies present early in disease potentially paving the way for preventative intervention strategies, which may help patients to avoid disability, poor treatment outcome, disease sequelae and premature mortality. However, adding biomarker data to real world datasets comes with a number of important challenges including sample collection and storage, study design and data analysis and interpretation. In this narrative review we will consider the benefits and challenges of adding biomarker data to real world datasets and discuss how biomarker data have added to our understanding of complex diseases, focusing on rheumatoid arthritis.

Systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis (sJIA) is a childhood arthritis with features of autoinflammation and high risk of macrophage activation syndrome (MAS). IL-18 has been shown to have key roles in sJIA and MAS. We aimed to examine IL-18 levels in sJIA in relation to disease activity and history of MAS and other disease biomarkers namely S100 proteins and CXCL9.

The number of innate immune system disorders classified as systemic autoinflammatory diseases (SAID) has increased in recent years. More than 70% of patients with clinical manifestations of SAID did not receive a molecular diagnosis, thus being classed as so-called undifferentiated or undefined SAID (uSAID). The aim of the present study was to evaluate a next-generation sequencing (NGS)-based clinically oriented protocol in patients with uSAID.
