Dose-optimization strategies for biologic therapies in Crohn's disease (CD) are not well established. The SERENE CD (Study of a Novel Approach to Induction and Maintenance Dosing With Adalimumab in Patients With Moderate to Severe Crohn's Disease) trial evaluated higher vs standard adalimumab induction dosing and clinically adjusted (CA) vs therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) maintenance strategies in patients with moderately to severely active CD.

Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a functional bowel disease that is characterized by abdominal pain, discomfort, and changes in the frequency and form of stool without any organic pathology. In this study, the factors that affect the herbal treatment choices of IBS patients and their results were investigated.

Prevalence of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is increasing in China. The EXPLORE study evaluated the incidence and indicators of suboptimal responses to first-line anti-tumor necrosis factor (TNF) in patients with ulcerative colitis (UC) or Crohn's disease (CD). We present results for the mainland China subgroup.
4258. Inflammatory cloacogenic polyps in children: diagnostic yield of rectal retroflexion during colonoscopy.
Inflammatory cloacogenic polyps (ICPs) are inflammatory lesions occurring around the anal transitional zone. These are rare in the pediatric population, and most reported cases are found in adults. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the usefulness of rectal retroflexion (RR) during colonoscopy in detecting ICPs in children.

Nonthyroidal illness syndrome (NTIS) is common in critical illness and is associated with poor prognosis. The aim of this study was to find the prevalence, charateristics, and prognosis of NTIS and its correlation with outcomes in AP patients.

Currently, the minimally invasive "Step-up" surgical strategy is still the main treatment for infected pancreatic necrosis (IPN). However, indiscriminate implementation of the "Step-up" strategy can lead to increased numbers of operations and prolonged hospital stay. The "Step-up" approach is not appropriate for some patients due to unavailabilty of a safe puncture path. Therefore, we developed the "One-step" surgical approach to treat IPN, which is safety. However, there is still a lack of comparison of the short and long-term efficacy between the "One-step" and "Step-up" approach. Consequently, we are conducting this clinical trial to provide a reference for IPN treatment.
