Childhood-onset systemic lupus erythematosus (cSLE) is a rare autoimmune disease with significant morbidity. Although B cell-depleting agents show promise for refractory cSLE, there is limited research on Rituximab therapy in children. This study aimed to retrospectively assess the indications, efficacy, and safety of RTX in cSLE, using data from the Juvenile Inflammatory Rheumatism (JIR) cohort database.

Lupus nephritis (LN) is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), affecting nearly half of the patients with SLE. Type I interferon (IFN) plays a central role in SLE and LN pathogenesis. This study explored the differential expression of type I IFN gene signatures (IFNGS) in renal tissues from early- and late-onset LN patients to uncover pathways linked to disease progression.

Professionals in health and social care are challenged by the complexity and fragmentation across primary and secondary levels of care. To study coherent rehabilitation pathways, we focused on people with inflammatory arthritis admitted to a specialised rehabilitation stay as these pathways will involve a myriad of different professionals from primary and secondary levels of care. This study aimed to explore how health and social care professionals establish coherent rehabilitation pathways for people with inflammatory arthritis across primary and secondary levels of care and how organisational factors influence on workflow.

This study investigates the molecular and functional implications of reduced Suv3-like RNA helicase (SUV3) expression in the interferon (IFN)-enriched subset of monocytes from childhood Sjögren's disease (cSjD). SUV3 is known to unwind double-stranded RNAs (dsRNAs) for homeostatic RNA decay within mitochondria.
